Main Responsibilities:
Leads and manages the Asia Pacific Bio-technology Solutions teams. The members of this team are located in China, Australia and New Zealand.
Responsible for the management and the control of the portfolio related technical projects within the Animal Health Large Molecule division including new products development, commercialization and supply support.
Direct (his/her team) and indirect management of Bio-technology Solution professionals who are executing Technology related projects.
Provide guidance and direction to the teams to enable reliable Supply and new products commercialization.
Partner with the relevant organization within Animal Health Manufacturing to define the right priorities for the different project. Organize and chair the Governance meeting to establish priorities and to report status and results.
This position will interface with the Large Molecule (Regional) Operational team(s), Global Quality, Global Supplier Management and the Global Supply Chain organization of Animal Health Manufacturing and the different Animal health Research and Development departments.
Process Transfer management of changes (from Research to Site, from Site to Site…);Process robustness improvements to increase revenue (e.g. yield improvements, improved line utilization).
Supports investment requests/processes and is responsible for the Biotechnological input by providing support and enables connection to other Bio-technology Support teams globally and assisting Animal Health Research and development with new product Development and the Life Cycle Management of existing products.
Support Regulatory Affairs to review Manufacturing Outline (Drug Master File/Master Manufacturing Instructions) and Global Change Management.
Support due diligence for business development projects and integration as needed.
Support Research and Development to provide technical evaluation using cutting edge technology.
Key Requirements:
Ph.D in Technology / Engineering.
Equivalent Experience in leading a science & technology orientated team in a complex Biotech pharmaceutical environment.
Proven track record of managing project portfolios in the areas of development / commercialization / tech transfer / supply of products.
Experience with interacting on a global level is a requirement.
Track record of talent development.
Experience with interacting with procurement, supply chain, research and development, operations organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and make decisions in a constantly changing environment.
Understanding of Regulatory/compliance requirements.
